High-Capacity Central File Storage (HCS, also referred to as "file share" or "shared drive") supplies easily-accessed file storage from your desktop. Files are automatically backed up and the system can cater for varying storage requirements. Space on the HCS is allocated to departments as required and there is no charge to individual staff for using the HCS.

HCS is ideal for ongoing secure storage of research data, which may be comprised of thousands of files or very large sets of data. The HCS is also hosted on campus, so HCS storage complies with requirements for data to be kept within New Zealand.

Access to HCS can be requested by staff members.
