The Accelerated Maths Programme (AMP) aims to build students' confidence in mathematics problem-solving, particularly in the topics of numeric reasoning, basic algebra, probability, and statistics.
AMP comprises two components:
- Topic-specific workshops.
- One-to-one coaching with senior students who successfully completed first-year quantitative papers
Workshops aim to build conceptual knowledge and confidence in maths. These are delivered by a trained mathematics tutor who are familiar with the curriculum. The AMP workshops run for 50 minutes from the second week of each semester, for a period of six weeks.
Coaching sessions, provided by senior students, provide a one-to-one setting to ask questions and to receive individual support. These are limited to 30 minutes.
