Renew an NVivo licence

NVivo is a qualitative data analysis software application that provides easy access to data and enables clerical tasks to be automated.

How do I renew an NVivo licence

If you wish to continue using NVivo, you will need to request a new licence and renew it within the application.

To renew an NVivo license:

Windows

NVivo 13 or later:

1. Go to File.
2. Select Product Info.
3. Select Manage Licence.
4. Select Replace Licence.

NVivo 12 and earlier:

1. Go to File.
2. Select Help.
3. Select Manage Licence.
4. Select Replace Licence.

Mac

1. Go to NVivo.
2. Select Licensing.
3. Select Extend Licence.

To replace an existing license with an NVivo account:

1. Open NVivo.
2. Click the File tab, Product Info, Manage Licence and then Deactivate Licence.
3. Confirm deactivation, and close NVivo.
4. Reopen, and in the "Activate Licence" dialogue box click Log into MyNVivo.
5. Enter your account details.

If you do not have an existing NVivo account, go to https://portal.mynvivo.com and create one using your University of Otago email address.
