The University of Otago accepts a wide range of entrance qualifications and recognises previous study that may have been undertaken, meeting certain requirements of a programme.
Previous tertiary study or other types of non-credentialled learning can be included in an application to the University. Credit transferred, or recognition of non-credentialled learning, may be granted.
- Credit for previous domestic tertiary study at a New Zealand institution may be requested towards a University of Otago undergraduate qualification
- Credit for previous international tertiary study will be assessed as part of an application. Grades and other documentation will be required
- Recognition of prior learning (RPL) that has not been formally recognised with a qualification or other records, can be requested for specific papers
