As part of the enrolment process, research students will select a thesis code to determine their enrolment status at the University of Otago. Amendments may become necessary if the student's situation has changed.
Changes made to research study programmes will usually require formal approval. Changes can include a major change of topic, supervisory arrangements, full-time to part-time study, and additional paper requests.
- Doctoral programmes an be changed during the year and should be first discussed with the supervisor.
- Master’s programmes can be changed during the year and should be first discussed with the supervisor.
- Thesis codes indicate the programme's subject, level, and enrolment type. Any changes should be discussed with the research supervisor.
