Laptops may be requested by students through the Pūtea Tautoko student relief fund. Postgraduate (PhD and master's by thesis) students may request a device from their department.

How do I request a loan laptop

Undergraduate and non-thesis postgraduate students

If you have a graded test/exam that requires software that your own device cannot run or is not available on Apps at Otago, you may be eligible to receive a loan laptop via the Pūtea Tautoko Student Relief Fund:

  1. Make an application for Pūtea Tautoko
  2. Once your application is accepted, you will be advised how to request a loan laptop.
  3. If you do not qualify for the Pūtea Tautoko fund, contact AskOtago to discuss other options.

Postgraduate (PhD and master's by thesis) students and staff

If you require an IT workstation for your work or studies:

  1. Make a request using the IT Equipment Request Form.
