Install NVivo

Staff and students can use NVivo software on University of Otago-owned or personal computers.

How do I install NVivo

To install NVivo: 

1. Request the software by completing the relevant form.
2. Download the version of NVivo you want to use:
   • NVivo 14—Windows
   • NVivo 1.0 (2020)—Windows
   • NVivo 12—Windows
   • NVivo 11—Windows
   • NVivo 14—Mac
   • NVivo 1.0 (2020)—Mac
   • NVivo 12—Mac
   • NVivo 11—Mac
3. After installation and when first opened, you will be prompted to sign in to your myNVivo account. Instead, select the option to enter an enterprise key
4. Enter the serial number for the version of NVivo you have installed.

How much does it cost 

There is no charge to individuals for this software with costs covered departmentally.
