Science Wānanga (SW) embodies the relationships between the Ōtākou Whakaihu Waka, and iwi, hapū, rūnanga, marae, and kura around Aotearoa. It is a three- to five-day noho marae (marae stay) providing hands-on science experiences for rangatahi Māori aged 11 to 14 years (Years 7 to 10 at school). SW encourage us all to explore the connections between science, matauranga Māori, and our lives, especially the interconnection between tāngata (people) and te taiao (the environment).
