The University of Otago offers support for devices that are owned by the University, including laptops, desktops, tablets, and related peripherals.

This includes support for both hardware and operating systems, and encompasses assessment, procurement, installation, replacement, updates, and ongoing support.

  • Apps at Otago allows students to stream software applications to their own laptops, computers, or devices from anywhere with internet, and is available in computer labs, University libraries, and eStops.
  • Computer labs are available across campus for staff and students to access and use a computer as required.
  • Desktop and laptop support is available for all devices provided to staff and postgraduate students.
  • Monitors are provided as part of the standard workstation setup, and additional monitors can be provided as required.
  • Peripherals and accessories include items such as headsets and webcams and are available on request.
  • Tablets and iPads are available on request as appropriate.
