As part of an application to study at the University of Otago, a prospective student’s legal name, other contact details, and citizenship, residency, or visa information is required. These details are all held confidentially.
Information recorded in eVision, the University’s student administration system, includes:
- Citizenship and residency details are held by the University for enrolment and fee purposes.
- Contact details are used for communications from the University and can be updated by students.
- Disability information can be recorded and updated.
- Ethnicity details can be recorded and updated.
- Gender details can be recorded and updated.
- Name details can be confirmed against the NZ National Student Index (NSN) or by certified/original documents.
- A student ID number is a unique identifier assigned to you.
- Student insurance is required for all international students, and is included at enrolment.
- A student visa is required for all international students.
