Here is some IT information to help get you started.
The University of Otago requires that all computers connecting to the network have a working, updated antivirus. All computers can get viruses, but good antivirus software will keep your computer safe.
As a student, you are entitled to five Microsoft 365 (formerly known as Office 365) licences for personal use for your study.
Key resources that you will access and use throughout the duration of your studies include:
- Blackboard, where you can access paper materials
- eVision, the University's student management system, where you can keep track of papers, personal details and more
- Microsoft 365 allows you to access office tools, email and file storage options
